Rigolo Comme la Vie
Life is always full of questions - you get answers to some, endless fustrations to others.. Some answers to the difficult questions are simple and as clear as the waters of the Caribbean seas. But because we often assume that complex questions require complex answers, we will more often than not miss the most obvious, easy solution.
A tribute to the scientific process and its ever lasting quest for answers.. isn't life fun that way?
Gemstone : gem quality peridot (6mm, trilliant cut)

New Bridal Stuff for Summer!
I decided to add more to the collection available online at my etsy store and the webstore. Here's a sneak peek..
Beautiful isn't it? I managed to lay my hands on these perfect lustrous beauties, all in varying shades of "black" (defined by the chinese pearl sellers, which shade comprises of everything in the sun that goes between deep teal to deep eggplant) I managed to get some of the CZ bail settings in sterling silver and voila!
Each of these pendants are about 8mm wide. Needless to say, I'm keeping a few for myself.
White pearls with blue topaz swarovski (8mm). These are H-U-G-E! These are the times I'm so glad I get to purchase them collectively instead of by myself. I get great savings and so will my customers. These pearls are decently large - 8-9mm wide (that translates to about 8X12 and 9X13), lovely yum!
Of course I couldn't resist doing one with aquamarine rondelles. These are fabulous!
I'll be updating my stores shortly...
BTW Aden, when is the unveiling?

Fall 2008 Preview
I wasn't really into clustered pendants until Serah (she's got a upcoming revamped site - it looks really professional and breathtakingly chic) talked me into trying some with my designs. I wouldn't say that I was immediately hooked.. tying tiny links onto chains isn't exactly a cup of tea but I decided to give it a go.
The result is the start of a series of jewelry which befits a series for the Fall 2008 collection by itself - with the help of Serah of course, and a lengthy conversation with my cutters in India for more stones to replenish the existing gemstone stocks. I saw some of the new designs that Basil from AtelierGems has been churning out.. he's a one man torch wielding machine when he puts his mind to it. I just wish I had taken the same jewelry setting classes he did - it's not time for regrets however!Fall 2008 promises to be exciting - this is the first time we'll be working together in earnest - and it is almost time to shed that silly "Handmade Collective" label and unveil our new studio name soon (and . Kayla is working hard on her pearl-direct.com site - and we're looking into maybe getting a spot at artisan impact's catalog - and maybe sharing the cost for a real photo box instead of wrangling over 2 photo tents at this juncture.
Rea from Rea Ashlie - Wearable Sterling Art, is in the midst of getting more items up in her online store (www.reaashlie.com) and at etsy in time for the 2nd half of the year.
I see great times ahead!

New Items from Rea Ashlie
I honestly didn't know that the blog is up and running! Ok here are two bangles I made - custom orders both online and offline have been great and I love it.
I'm not really a premade artist, I usually design mostly for custom orders so etsy is a new experience for me.

New Items from Serah Angier
These are fresh from my worktable today. 2 pairs of earrings in sterling silver, clear quartz, pearls and amethysts - priced affordably at US$20.00 for the pearl and quartz pair and US$25.00 for the pearl, amethyst and clear quartz pair.
Completed one bracelet - made from rose quartz, prehnite and apatite. This is a pretty romantic piece and I'm in the process of completing the other one, with really beautiful organic aquamarine chunks and citrine. I'll post it later. Here is the one with the rose quartz :
